Last month I sent an email promoting an upcoming SafeZone workshop to a UMBC listserv for student organization leaders. SafeZone is a program that works to educate and prepare folks on campus to make UMBC a more welcoming, supportive place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) people.
