Full Title: Volleyball Standout Hallie Carter Voted UMBC Athlete of the Month for SeptemberBALTIMORE�Sophomore outside hitter Hallie Carter of the volleyball team was named UMBC's Athlete of the Month for September 2011 in a poll of fans conducted from Oct. 4-10. Carter received 69 of 147 total votes (46.9 percent) to edge runner-up Sean Rothe of men's soccer (48 votes, 32.7 percent). Lauren Kadet of women's soccer and Brandan McGee and Keri Wilson of cross country were also nominated.
