Full Title: Swimming and Diving Standout Eric Jones Voted UMBC Athlete of the Month for JanuaryBALTIMORE�Senior Eric Jones of the men's swimming and diving team was named UMBC Athlete of the Month for January 2011 in a poll of fans conducted from Feb. 1-7. Jones received 410 of 863 total votes (47.5 percent) to edge runner-up Abbey McKenney of women's swimming and diving (352 votes, 40.8 percent). Chris De La Rosa of men's basketball, Amanda Deller and Joshua Hewitson of track and field and Michelle Kurowski of women's basketball were also nominated.
