VESTAL, N.Y.�Despite holding Binghamton (15-8, 8-2 AE) to just 24 percent shooting, the UMBC women's basketball team (13-10, 7-3 AE) shot only 27 percent from the floor and fell to the host Bearcats, 47-40, Wednesday evening at the Events Center. Binghamton takes over sole possession of second place in the America East standings, while the Retrievers drop to third.
