BALTIMORE � UMBC freshman thrower Vincent Rentzsch of the track and field team was named the UMBC Athlete of the Month for May 2013, in a poll conducted from June 3-11. Rentzsch won the vote over women's track's Mercedes Jackson, men's lacrosse's Scott Jones, and baseball's Kevin Lachance.
