Baltimore�America East leading Stony Brook hit 14 of 24 shots in the second half and subdued a stubborn and outmanned UMBC squad, 86-72 at the RAC Arena. UMBC was led by sophomore guard Chris De La Rosa, who scored 14 of his team-high 20 points in the second half. Retriever freshman wing Shawn Grant was his squad's Player of the Game with 17 points and five rebounds.UMBC played without sophomore starters Chauncey Gilliam and Jake Wasco, neither of whom dressed due to injury.
