BALTIMORE � UMBC junior pitcher Mac Gill of the baseball team was named the UMBC Athlete of the Month for March 2013, in a poll conducted from Apr. 1-8. Gill won the vote over men's lacrosse's Ethan Murphy, track and field's Vincent Rentzsch and Mercedes Jackson, tennis' Justin Carter and Josefin Stange-Jonsson, women's lacrosse's Alyssa Semones, and softball's Taylor Hall.
