UMBC women's basketball head coach Phil Stern announced his resignation and accepted an associate head coaching position at Seton Hall University under recently-hired head coach Anthony Bozzella. Stern, who concluded his 11th season at the helm of the black and gold, led the Retrievers to three conference championship appearances, an America East Tournament Championship, an America East regular-season title and appearances in the NCAA Tournament and Women's National Invitation Tournament.
