UMBC softball had four players bat over .500 on the day, led by senior outfield Ashley Scroggin (Stafford, Va./North Stafford) who went 6-for-7 from the dish and drove in three runs in day one of the UMBC Retriever Class. The black and gold split on Friday afternoon at the UMBC Softball Stadium, defeating Morgan State, 18-2, in five innings and falling to Coppin State, 13-8, in game two of the day.
