BALTIMORE � For the second straight year, the UMBC baseball team will open its season against a national field when it faces No. 10-ranked N.C. State, West Virginia, and Indiana at the Caravelle Resort's Baseball at the Beach tournament, hosted by Coastal Carolina. Despite having a young squad, head coach Bob Mumma sees the opening weekend as a chance to show the talent that the Retriever possess this year.
