UMBC softball shortstop Caitlin Chance (Easton, Md./Easton) batted .571 on day three of the Jimmy John's Lion Classic II, but South Dakota and South Dakota State's hitting proved to be too much for the Retrievers pitching, as UMBC fell twice on Saturday afternoon at North Oak Park. The Coyotes earned the 9-4 victory in game one, while the Jackrabbits picked up the 13-2 win in five innings.
