BALTIMORE � Junior goalie Phil Saunders of the men's soccer team was named UMBC's Athlete of the Month for November 2012 in a poll conducted from December 1-10. Saunders won the vote over swimming and diving's Katie Bean and Andrew Eckhoff, men's basketball's Ryan Cook, and volleyball's Mallory McIntyre.
