UMBC junior forward Pete Caringi III (Perry Hall, Md./Calvert Hall) is the 2012 America East Men's Soccer Fans' Choice Player of the Year as decided on by nearly 700 fans on the conference's Facebook page. Caringi received 41 percent (284 votes) to earn the honor. He finished just 11 votes ahead of University of New Hampshire's Jordan Thomas, who garnered 39 percent of the total vote.
