UMBC junior goalkeeper Lauren Kadet (Oakville, Ontario/St. Thomas Aquinas) recorded six saves against LIU Brooklyn in Sunday afternoon's non-conference women's soccer game at LIU Field, but it was not enough as the Blackbirds used a goal late in the first half to defeat the Retrievers 1-0.
