UMBC Athletics will introduce its new logo at a ceremony at the RAC Arena on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at 12:15 p.m. The new logo, True Grit II, will be unveiled once True Grit turns the tassel and officially graduates. There will be give-aways and cake to all in attendance. The ceremony will be held in the RAC Arena plaza if weather permits. True Grit served as UMBC Athletics' logo since the 2001-02 academic year.
