The UMBC men's soccer program will welcome eight newcomers to compete for the Retrievers in the fall of 2012. Three student-athletes are already enrolled at UMBC this spring- midfielders Michael Burgos (Huntingtown, Md./The Calverton School) and Mamadou Kansaye (Baltimore, Md./McDonogh/N.C. State) and defender Oumar Ballo (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley/CCBC-Essex). Five incoming freshmen have also committed to the Retrievers- goalkeeper Billy Heavner (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield), midfielder Josh LeMaster (Bowie, Md./Bowie) midfielder Patrick Pato (Gaithersburg, MD/Watkins Mill), fullback Matthew Schwarz (Austin, Texas/Westwood) and forward Michael Scott (Fife, Scotland/ Inverkeithing).
