Full Title: Plummer, Neller's Late-Game Heroics Pace Men's Basketball to 82-76 League-Opening Triumph at UNHDurham, N.H.- Junior guard Brian Neller's 3-point field goal with 31 seconds remaining restored a UMBC lead and the visiting Retrievers went on to a 82-76 victory over New Hampshire in the America East opener for both teams. The 82 points scored is a season high for UMBC and the victory is UMBC's first in a league opener since 2008. The Retrievers hit eight of 12 shots from behind the arc for the game. Sophomore forward Chase Plummer scored a career-high 23 points and was UMBC's America East Player of the Game.
