Last Saturday, 9/27, ASME had two members volunteer at a bike clinic for assembling bikes for individuals with disabilities. Shelbi Tippett and Stacy Sumedi spent some of their weekend at this event and we would like to thank them for their time!
"The bike clinic is an excellent way for professionals and students to work together to make a positive impact on special needs children and their families. Every child's bike was engineered especially for them. We assembled the bikes to have special seats, loop handles, and rear steering/braking. These additions make bike riding easier and safer for the children. Once they got to test the bikes, the kids were all so ecstatic to be more independent and active. This was an invaluable experience because I got to see how my hard work benefited someone else directly."

Thanks again you two!
