This story from Fox News, yes, Fox News, points out the distraction caused by President Obama's threat to not pay the active military.  As the Commander-in-Chief, doesn't he owe more allegiance to his troops than his party or political philosophy?

The citizen soldiers of the the U.S. Armed Forces have shown tremendous loyalty to the Constitution and the people of the U.S.  After this current distraction is handled, Congress should provide in law that active duty military pay is the first payment in the federal queue, and elected offices are the last.
