Before 9/11, Muslims and Sikhs lived peacefully among their neighbors. After 9/11, however, hell broke loose. The Guardian had posted that hate crimes against Muslims rose, causing Muslims to fear their neighbors. The Associated Press adds that Sikhs (completely unrelated to the 9/11 attacks) were also attacked and discriminated against - probably because Sikh men typically wear long beards and turbans. There were other reports of violence against Sikhs.

Has America become too paranoid? Why does it seek to attack a minority when in fact only a minority of this minority carried out the 9/11 attack?
