So, it happens that the US government is a supporter of the Israel government. There are many US supporters of Israel (as can be seen on myUMBC and other sites), while there are few, like me, who do not support Israel's occupation of the Palestinians. It is often perceived that this occupation and the impoverishment of Gaza and other areas are beneficial towards Israel's security. By subjecting Palestinians to adverse conditions, some of the supporters said that the Palestinians would then turn on the Hamas. Not so, the Hamas is still there. Even after years of blockade, some Palestinians fled and others remained defiant.
Also, here's a link detailing the horrid living conditions facing the Palestinians: http://www.talkradionews.com/news/2011/5/24/un-humanitarian-chief-israel-not-doing-enough-for-palestinia.html
Is this the way that Palestinians should be handled, or this in the way?
