In an effort to promote increased accessibility on campus, UMBC is developing a new series of way-finding tools to assist students, faculty/staff and campus visitors with disabilities. Nineteen information/map kiosks are being installed on campus which will provide fold-out maps of accessible parking facilities, building entrances and routes. The map will assist users with navigating the hilly terrain of the campus and, once finalized, will be available online later this summer. To accompany the kiosks and to mark the paths thirty trailblazers will highlight ideal accessible routes.
