Housing

Sorry if this is not the right place to post this but this is getting incredibly frustrating. I am a 22 year-old transfer student going to UMBC for the first time in the fall. I was working out of state for the summer and during this time my parents (used their address as my address for UMBC to send everything) were moving. Anyway long story short I was approved for on-campus housing and the letter about how the deadline was on the July 25th got to my house on the 27th. I got home on the 29th. So my first reaction was to call the number on the letter, which although it was during office hours (something like 9-5 weekdays I think?) no one was there. The message said that if it was during office hours someone must just be away from the phone and to leave a message and they would return it as soon as possible. I left a message explaining my situation and left my full name and cell phone number.
I also noticed that there was a link in the letter so I went and filled out an RT ticket. Both of these were ignored for several days. I had my orientation on August 3rd, so I made sure to get there early and go talk to them in person. I actually ended up going before orientation as well as after, because the response from the first person was to just fill out an RT ticket and someone would definitely respond (they still haven't 6 days after orientation and the RT ticket was submitted July 30th). I went afterwards deciding that was not good enough. I talked to Jackie Wilson in the office who seemed to have some sort of authority there and gave me her personal business card and told me to email details of my situation to her personally. This was done on the same day August 3rd. The following day I emailed a follow up clarifying a few things that I neglected to mention in the initial email and also asking whether I could get at least a time frame on when a decision would be made asap so I could arrange other plans. Yesterday I posted another message to my RT ticket saying that classes start in 3 weeks and asking if I could at least get a timeline on when I would know by.
As of now I have received exactly 0 contact from anyone at UMBC. Even if it's "you're on the waitlist" (preferably with how far down I am, but even without it at least it would be acknowledging that I exist), that would be something. But they have literally ignored me. I would be ok if they just told me "sorry nothing for you find your own place" because even though it is not entirely my fault it certainly is not their fault that I got the letter too late. If there's nothing they can do there's nothing they can do I am just getting increasingly frustrated as time goes by and I am getting 0 answers. Hopefully someone who actually runs this stuff reads this or else someone who knows someone can get me into contact with them through a means of communication that they will actually read? Barring this helping any I guess the plan is to call them tomorrow and if they don't respond just make another trip out there (it's a bit over an hour drive). It's just rediculous that it's 3 weeks away from classes starting and I have no idea where I stand with housing.
