Math 215- Finite math and applied calculus

Hi, I am going to be taking MA 215 for the fall. Does anyone knows if we have to take the pretest that is usually taken in the lab before the semester starts? I took the pre test for Precalc and Calc but I am not sure if it's required for MA 215 also. Moreover , does anyone has the textbook for sale? Is it a hard class? Thanks
