Parking Permits

I keep trying to apply for a parking permit but it says that i have invalid authorization. However, when i attended my orientation on June 15th the guy that talked to us about parking said that I could get a parking permit since I'm also living on campus. I've emailed parking@umbc and i'm getting nowhere. Can anyone help me or has been in the similar situation?

Parking permits for 2011/2012 aren't available until August 7. If you are a freshman and living on campus, you will get a satellite parking permit, otherwise you will get one that allows you to park on campus.

Alex, it's only 3pm on Fridays. 7pm every other day of the week, minus the weekends.
