Remember, remember, the fifth of November.

As you may know, it is drowsy driving prevention week here at UMBC. While you're in line tonight getting your free Starbucks, I ask you to not just think about not driving drowsy, but not driving impaired in any sense. Whether your drowsy, tipsy, drunk, or stoned, think before you get behind the wheel. Three years ago today someone didn't think, and killed my cousin in a head on collision. Less than three months ago, my friend lost his brothsr in a single car drunk driving accident. So next time, before you drive impaired, please pause and think. Even if you do it "just one time," it could cost you your life, or the life of others. Now the above quote is not just something from a movie or poem for me, but an eternal reminder that someone's personal decision to drive while impaired cost my best friend, my cousin, his life. Don't be the reason for another person loses someone they care about in the same way my family did..
