Quality of Life Question
For Those of Us Who Park on Campus
posted about 10 years ago
As you all know visitor parking is not free during the week, but did you know that the machines used to pay for parking do not dispense change? If you are paying with a credit card this doesn't make a difference, but if you only have cash, you better have an exact amount, because machine will give you nothing back. I got burned last week by sticking a twenty in there. I went to complain and learned that there is nothing the university can do for me. Nothing. Buyer beware, I think is what this called. Well, lesson learned. They did ask me if I thought there was a way to prevent this from happening to others. Each machine does have a little sign that say it doesn't give back the change (I was blinded by the setting sun and saw nothing till I inserted the cash) So, I am addressing this issue to all the people using parking here. What would you do to warn unsuspecting people about using cash for parking?
