"Guns, Germs, and Steel": Roots of Inequality?
Geographical Location Theory
posted over 13 years ago
OK, so I just watched a documentary based on a novel by professor Jared Diamond regarding how inequality among humans came about. We know that no one race is genetically superior to another, but how many of you believe Diamond's geographical location theory? In other words, do you believe that some humans were predisposed to a better life and exposed to technology based on their geographical location? It's much more complex than this, but I won't go into detail here. I'm in no way disagreeing with what he has to say, but what do you think? Why do you think there exists inequality in the world?
