When do I receive the financial aid I'm offered?
I have checked the fafsa and my aid inquiry, but no info.

Well, basically, a lot of my friends have already received what financial aid they will be receiving. I'm not sure how this whole thing works and I'm confused because I have a feeling that I've done something wrong. I submitted the FAFSA and the corrections, but aren't I supposed to have something sent through the mail to me by now? Maybe something in my financial aid inquiry besides the academic enhancement award? (btw I'm surprised I received such an honor. Thank you UMBC. I can't wait to be a student here, and I hope I haven't screwed it all up.)Does anybody have any advice for me? I'm beginning to lose confidence here.

Financial Aid is packaged based on the date you submitted your FAFSA. If you met the priority deadlind which is Valentine's Day(Feb 14.) and did not have to go through verification the your aid should be packaged. About 30percent of students are selected for verification and you need to check my UMBC to-do's for any documents the office may request from you. However if you did not meet the priority deadline and did not have to go through verification then you will need to wait a while for your aid to be processed. The current processing time is 6-8weeks after submission of all documents. Don't hesitate to contact the office.
