Economics + Computer Science

Is anybody out here at UMBC a Computer Science/Economics double-major (joint degree since it's a B.S. & B.A. combined)?
I'm curious about what it's like. I just completed my freshman year as an Econ major. However, this whole STEM push is really starting to get to me, especially considering my "future plans" to work as a management consultant for a tech firm or become an IP attorney. I really feel my degree in Economics won't be enough. My mother's numerous discussions with me about having a science/engineering background have finally infiltrated my reasoning.
So, I ask: how beneficial would an Economics-Computer Science dual degree be for me down the line and what will the course load be like?
Also, what are my chances of completing both degrees within a 4 year period considering I'm now one year behind with the CS requirements?
