I just took the class this past spring and it was a breeze. The class itself is like one big storytime. And if your not into that kind of teaching you may find yourself a bit bored.

Grading system: There are no homeworks and the entire grades are based on 3 exams (not sure if that grading format applies for the summer session as well). There are some extra credit opportunities provided on the exams.

Teaching format:You are given a list of names and then the professor basically narrates one big story that encompasses all the names on the handout. Be forewarned there are a lot of names you have to be familiar with. In some instances you maybe required to remember both the greek and roman names of the person. But if you remember the story, then you'll be fine for the exams.

Book readings: We were required to read 3 books during the semester. But most of time the stories in the books were covered in class. There was only one book out of the three that required you to know more information, which may or may not be presented in the class lectures.

Movies shown: All of the movies shown in class are avaliable on reserve at the library. So you can always view it again if you want to.

I personally took the class for a AH requirement. Not sure if thats the case with you. But either cases it was an easy class that required minimal effort.
