Events
2013 peak: News posts hit 13,164 — nearly double surrounding years, likely driven by RSS feed imports and high staff adoption. Events have grown steadily every year, reaching ~10,800 in 2025. COVID-20 had surprisingly little impact on event creation (virtual events took over).

Student Orgs
2019 surge: Student orgs spiked to 70 new groups — largest single-year burst. Institutional group creation has been remarkably steady at 30–60/year since launch. Interest groups peaked in 2019 and remain healthy.

Peaked in 2012, then declined sharply at each redesign. The 2015 redesign retired discussions and media — removing two major paw surfaces. The 2019 nav redesign removed the paw button from the homepage entirely. Decline reflects reduced surface area and UX changes, not organic disengagement.

New Members
RSVPs have grown 12x since 2010 and are at an all-time high. Group membership additions exploded post-2022, likely from automated/LDAP syncing. 2025: 84K new memberships.
