The Ancient Studies Department at UMBC recently started offering an app class to ancient studies majors/minors and other students who are museum enthusiasts. As a final group project, each student group in the app classes are required to submit a proposal. A proposal in which they utilize their creativity and knowledge of the ancient world and, combined with their chosen artifact from the Walters Art Museum, create a proposal for the perfect interactive app for mobile devices designed to promote both interest and knowledge of the artifact and the world in which it came from.
