    <div class="html-content"><span><p><span>We will be holding elections for the President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary positions within the club for the 2025-2026 year. Anyone interested in one of these positions is more than welcome to join the election. To run for a position, please fill out the Council Elections google form provided below before April 18th. The voting will be held from April 21st to April 30th. We will post all the candidates and their speeches on April 21st, as well as open the virtual ballots. Anyone can vote for any person interested in the positions, whether it be for themselves or for another person. Those who have won these positions will start their term on May 6th, up until the next year. </span></p><br><p><span>We hope that you will join us in this process. Students experience lessons in the Forum, below the Vatican, at hidden gems around Italy – in other words, the Roman world <u>is</u> the classroom.</span><span></span></p><p><span> </span><span></span></p><p><strong><span>We take the show on the road – next year, to Asia Minor and the Bay of Naples.</span></strong><span>  In addition to outings within the city and day-trips from Rome, the Centro hits the road three times through the semester, experiencing a<span> </span></span><span><a href="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v%3DFV0MJpqoAq0&amp;source=gmail-imap&amp;ust=1740401311000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1iuvsksEJoxNPHubAloI3r" title="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FV0MJpqoAq0" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">7-day trip to Asia Minor</a></span><span><span> </span></span><span>and </span><span><a href="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v%3DQClFNNYo1vQ%26t%3D1s&amp;source=gmail-imap&amp;ust=1740401311000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1F6w3kRYs6GlDf8MKFwMO0" title="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QClFNNYo1vQ&amp;t=1s" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><span>two 4-day trips to Campania</span></a></span><span>.</span><span></span></p><p><span> </span><span></span></p><p><strong><span>In short, engagement with the raw stuff of history is central to the program’s ethos, and, thanks to the Rome staff’s connections, Centristi get into places that few (if any) other groups are allowed to tread.</span></strong><span></span></p><p><span> </span><span></span></p><p><strong><span>The Centro has a policy of meeting every student’s financial need.</span></strong><span> We want to share the Centro’s unique experience with as many students as possible.  Students can receive more than $35,000 in financial aid when they demonstrate need.</span><span></span></p><p><span> </span><span></span></p><p><span>Beyond “The Ancient City,” the Centro offers Greek and Latin at the intermediate and advanced levels, yet <strong>experience with Latin or ancient Greek is not required for the program.  </strong>Our course offerings extend to <strong>Elementary Italian, Renaissance/Baroque Art History, and Conservation of the Material Heritage of Ancient Rome</strong>.  Additionally, we offer an <strong>internship with the archaeological study collection at the American Academy in Rome.</strong></span><span></span></p><p><span> </span><span></span></p><p><span>Overall, the Centro provides your opportunity to <strong>study abroad in Ancient Rome</strong>.</span></p></div>

It is a month-long summer program dedicated to exploring the performance, reception, and modern relevance of ancient drama. </span></div><div><br></div><div><span>This is a multi-disciplinary course which combines theory and practice throughout. Course participants will spend the first ten days of the course in London before traveling to Greece for eleven days of workshops and visits to explore ancients sites and then returning to the UK for a final week-long residency at the Archive of Performances of Greek &amp; Roman Drama in Oxford.     <div class="html-content"><blockquote><div><div>The Maryland Historical Trust (MHT) seeks candidates for its 2025 Summer Internship in Archaeology. Interns serve a maximum of 400 hours over a period of 10 consecutive weeks to begin on or about May 19, 2025. Current graduate students in anthropology/archaeology are preferred. We also encourage applications from students who are currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an accredited undergraduate program in anthropology/archaeology or another closely related field.</div><div><br>This is a paid internship. Students will receive a total amount not to exceed $6,600.00 paid in bi-weekly increments based on the number of hours worked at a base rate of $16.50 per hour.
