Candidate Campaign Speeches

<Tagline>Vote here for your future officers!</Tagline>

Here are the candidates for the coming year's officer positions! Voting is open today until May 1st. The ballot is a google form accessed at the bottom of this post. Here are the candidate campaign speeches:

Ethan Stubbs, running for President or Vice President:

Hi y'all, my name is Ethan Stubbs. I'm currently a junior with a Political Science and Ancient Studies dual degree. I am applying for these roles because I think it would be interesting, and I hope to use my previous two years of experience as ANCS council vice president to help this club be the best that it can be.

Rebecca Lee, running for President, Vice President, or Treasurer:

My name is Rebecca Lee, and I am a sophomore philosophy and ancient studies double major with a minor in political science. I applied for president because I believe the experience I have had with the current president, the department as a whole (the faculty especially), and the student organization services on campus will make me well suited for the position. The same applies for the vice president position. I believe I would be a good fit for the role of treasurer as well, as I am the current treasurer and have experience managing the organization's funds and spending.

Since we only have 2 people in the running, we will announce which 2 positions are left unfilled after elections are over. At that point, whoever emails the club with interest in those positions will be able to fill those positions.

Thank you to all that applied to this year's election! If you have any questions regarding voting, about the election in general, or the future details of the unfilled positions please contact jlabuda1@umbc.edu

Voting Ballot: https://forms.gle/FAnHUECzVo1kqi428
