Internship Opportunity: Howard County Historical Society Internship - Spring 2025
Asian American Studies-based internship opportunity
The Howard County Historical Society (HCHS) is looking for interns to primarily conduct research on Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI) groups, businesses, and people in Howard County, MD!
This research includes gathering newspaper clippings and creating/updating biographical information in their database. Interns will also reach out to local organizations to see if they have any relevant material they would like to contribute to HCHS' collections.
This internship will take place either next spring or summer. The work hours are very flexible and you can get internship credits for your major!

Opportunities: Internships at the Maryland State Archive
Do you have an interest in history or working in archives?
The Maryland State Archives is looking for interns to work on the attached three projects: Venice Beach Community, Women’s Civic League, and The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Maryland collections.
The goal of each project is to process Maryland State Archives collections to make them more discoverable and accessible to the general public through in person visits or online.
If you are an American Studies, Public Humanities, History, Africana Studies, Gender & Women's Studies student, or know a student who is, apply and speak with your advisor about using this internship for academic credits!
