Isaiah 53: 4-6 (NLT)
Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;
it was our sorrows that weighed him down.
And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,
a punishment for his own sins!
But he was pierced for our rebellion,
crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed.
All of us, like sheep, have strayed away.
We have left God’s paths to follow our own.
Yet the Lord laid on him
the sins of us all.
Jesus took care of our sins, weaknesses, rebellion and our sorrows!
By his stripes, because he was whipped, we are healed.
The Lord’s Supper is all about this passage.

The Dutch artist says he painted after an illness that Jesus healed.
Absorb the jubilant celebration from the painting.
Let’s live in the Lord’s Supper reality today, living in the life, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. Let’s be healed.
Prayer: Father, thank you for love. Jesus, heal me today-for you were whipped so I can be healed. Thank you for ridding our sins, though you were crushed and pierced. Thank you for your love. In Christ’s name. Amen.
