Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.
He lets me rest in green meadows;
he leads me beside peaceful streams.
He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
bringing honor to his name.
Even when I walk through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
My cup overflows with blessings.
Surely your goodness and unfailing love
will pursue me all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
This Psalm is one of all-time favorites, for all children of the Lord. Notice here the desire of our Father in heaven to provide for us-through a feast!
A party! With out-of-this-world food and drink! So that we will be satisfied, rested and live with the Lord forever.

Click on it and take it in. Don’t try to interpret it too much. Just soak in the fact that the Father in heaven’s love for us to be at his table has started to with Jesus’ invitation - and this love will come to its fullness in the wedding banquet of the Lamb!
Prayer: Father, thank you for love. Thank you that you call us your children. You prepare a feast for us, in our Lord Jesus! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Fill us with your Holy Spirit so that we can honor you with our lives - may we really love you and really love others. In Jesus name. Amen.
