Matthew 22:37-40 (NIV) - Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

The greatest and the most important thing we are called to do today is to love God!

Worship is about loving God with all of who we are. He alone is worthy of our praise and worship. As we worship God with all of who we are, we are becoming more and more like Him. Jesus teaches us that this love for God is expressed in our love for others. Our love and devotion to God lead to loving others. Life can get complicated, and we can get lost in our activities and schedule when we lose sight of what is most important, loving God and loving others.

Let’s spend a moment and sing and ask the Lord to help us today to live out the most important commandment. His mercies are new every morning. Today and each day, let’s depend on God as He pours out His love into our hearts as we come to Him.
