Ephesians 5:1-2
1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Reflection
Some grow up knowing and experiencing great love from someone, whether it be from a parent, family member, friend, teacher, or neighbor. And perhaps this may affect us in such a way that it leaves us wanting to be like that person when we grow up or wanting to do the same for someone else. But whether we had this experience growing up or not, we all have and can experience an even greater love today. Christ loved us and made the ultimate sacrifice for us, greater than any sacrifice anyone could ever make. So now as dearly loved children, we all can walk in the way of love.
Response:
Christ is our example. He gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Let’s pray that we would walk in the way of love and sacrifice each day as we are at work, school or at home with our families or roommates. Let’s pray that all we do in ministry will be in the love of our Lord.
