Colossians 4:2-6 (NIV)

2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. 4 Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. 5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Reflection:

Now, as God’s new people, we live every day prayerful, watchful and thankful, making the most of every opportunity with all people. As we do so, we are living in His good mission, the new reality. We make the most of every opportunity so that ultimately the Gospel and God’s mission may continue go forward and bring others into His life saving mercy and love.

Let’s devote ourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Let’s pray for God’s mission to go forward through our missional groups, campus fellowships, and our churches as a whole that many more may come to know the Lord.
