Joel 2:28-32

28 “And afterward,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
29 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days.
30 I will show wonders in the heavens
and on the earth,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
31 The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.
32 And everyone who calls
on the name of the LORD will be saved;
for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem
there will be deliverance,
as the LORD has said,
even among the survivors
whom the LORD calls.

Reflection
Prophesy!  Visions!  Dreams!  It is hard to believe at times that we are to prophesy, see visions and dream dreams, but it’s true! God is pouring out His Spirit on ALL of His people in this age.  He has created His church in order to fill us with His Spirit to prophesy, dream, and have visions.  We are part of this church and this is the right response to the filling of the Spirit.  Have you prophesied lately?  Then be filled with the Spirit and prophesy.  Let’s see visions and dream dreams for our missional groups and our campuses as we experience God’s outpouring of His Spirit on us, His church.  Our God is an awesome and powerful God who saves and delivers us when we call on His name.

Let’s pray that we will receive the Spirit fully in our lives today.  As we experience the outpouring of the Spirit, we will prophesy, we will see visions and we will dream dreams for His glory in our generation.
