Romans 8:26, 27 NIV
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
Reflection:
It is a good feeling to know that someone has your back. The Spirit, who knows the mind of God, is our helper when we are weak. We’re not only “not alone” because of the community, but we also have the Spirit who helps us to pray. The same Spirit that intercedes for us when we don’t know what to pray for also leads us in a lifelong, close knit walk in following Him and learning the heart, groans, and mind of God. What an exciting journey that we are on! Let’s walk with the Spirit today.
Response:
Let’s pray that the Spirit will guide us to living a life that is pleasing to the Lord. It is about daily walking closely with the Spirit who is our helper. Let’s pray for more of the Spirit’s help and work in our lives so that we can go and love this generation for Christ.
