Becker Office Hours and OLA Cancellation
Updates on Upcoming Accounting Club Events
Unfortunately, our upcoming event with the Office of Legislative Audits has been cancelled (which was set to take place April 23rd, 3:00-4:00 PM).
However, we are happy to announce that Becker will be hosting virtual office hours Mondays from 1:00-2:00 PM, April 21st-May 12th!
Here's a short message from Becker:
Dear UMBC Accounting Certificate Students,
With graduation just five weeks away, now is the time to shift your focus toward what comes next: passing the CPA Exam.
To support your success, Becker is offering dedicated Office Hours every Monday from 1:00–2:00 PM exclusively for students in the CPA Certificate Program. These sessions are designed to help you plan, strategize, and get the most out of the Becker CPA Review platform—whether you’re just getting started or need help refining your study approach.
You’ll get personalized guidance on:
- Building a realistic study timeline
- Exam structure and time management strategy
- Task base simulations strategy
- Navigating Becker’s tools and features effectively
- Tackling key topics and managing test anxiety
This is your time. The CPA exam is a major step in your journey, and we’re here to make sure you don’t take it alone.
- When: Mondays, 1:00–2:00 PM
- Where: This link (this link is for the 1st week-- following weeks can be found under Accounting Club Events in MyUMBC or GroupMe, closer to the event)
- Note: If you're not admitted immediately, Becker may be meeting with another student. Feel free to have the waiting room on in the background until you're admitted. Thank you for you patience!
Don’t wait—drop in, ask questions, and set yourself up for success. Let’s make sure you walk into exam day feeling confident and prepared.
