Want to run for Accounting Club Office?
Here's what you need to know for officer elections
Do you want to get involved? Do you want to put that you were more than just a member of the accounting club on your resume? Do you want to gain leadership experience and help out your fellow students?
Then you should consider running for an officer position in the accounting club! All positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, will be open for the Fall 2011 –Spring 2012 academic year.
We will be holding formal elections on May 6th, 2011 in PUP 206 from 12:00 to 12:50pm.
What we’re looking for:
Students who are motivated, want to improve their leadership and communication skills, and care about accounting and the accounting club.
Officer Responsibilities:
President: Plans and runs meetings, contacts and coordinates
with presenters, contacts group members about upcoming meetings
Vice President: Plans and runs meetings, contacts and
coordinates with presenters, updates myUMBC, club webpage, and facebook page
Secretary: Takes
attendance at meetings, updates list proc, records club proceedings, sends out "meeting minutes" after each meeting
Treasurer: Handles
the club’s financial responsibilities including getting donations and corresponding with SGA
All positions still work together to make sure the club will have a successful and eventful semester.
