Tutoring begins on Monday, February 12, 2024!
The Academic Success Center (ASC) space in the Library will re-open for face-to-face services on Monday, March 4th, 2024, once construction is complete.
Until then, please note that ALL academic support services provided by the ASC are still available to students. Information about the location and/or modality of the various services is available on our website.

Writing tutoring when you need it the most!
Good Morning, Retrievers!
We're halfway through Summer Session II and for classes with papers or lab reports, it's time to start writing! Whether you're a seasoned writer or not sure where to start, we all could use a little writing help through the Online Writing Center!
If you want writing help, booking an appointment is easy!
- Go to umbc.go-redrock.com and log in.
- Under “search availability,” choose "Writing Center" to see the schedule.
- Pick the Writing Center appointment that works for your schedule.
- Finalize the appointment and check your email for confirmation.
- Your tutor will email you 5-10 minutes before the session with instructions.
That's all it takes! So be sure to take advantage of your resources and take care of your papers and yourself!
If you feel yourself needing an extra boost or if you just want a way to reinforce concepts, tutoring is here to help you!
Tutoring is FREE through the Academic Success Center and our tutors are trained to work with you and help you understand concepts.
