All Academic Success Center (ASC) tutoring services will open on Monday, February 10th, in our library space as well as in Fine Arts, 010A.
Check the schedule on Monday to schedule an appointment or drop – in for help from our wonderful peer educators. We’re eager to help!
- Academic Skills Meeting – Located in the Library - Help with Time Management, Motivation Tips, and Study Skills
- Drop- In & Appointment Tutoring – Located in the Library - Course content support for many courses (CHEM, MATH, BIO, PHYS, STAT, and more!)
- SI PASS – Multiple Locations - Supplemental Instruction & Peer Assisted Study Sessions; it’s like a built-in study group for your class!
- Writing Center – Located in the Library - Help with writing assignments for any class at any stage of the writing process.
- Computing Success Center - Located in Fine Arts 010 - Help with computer science, computer engineering, and information systems courses as well support with programming languages for all students, regardless of major or course.

UNIV 102 is a
success course for students whose cumulative GPA is below 2.0.
This course
helps students get their GPA back on track, working together with other students
to learn effective study strategies, overcome procrastination and focus on
accomplishing goals to earn their UMBC degrees.

Upcoming Break ASC Tutoring Hours
Small adjustments in services for Fall Break
The Academic Success Center will be following a modified schedule this week in observance of the upcoming holiday. Please see the adjustments to our hours below.
Wednesday, November 27, 2024 - Course Content tutoring will be in person from 11 AM -2 PM and then only online from 2 - 6 PM.
- Computing Success Tutoring will operate from 11 AM - 2 PM.
- All Writing Center appointments will be held online.
- SI PASS will operate as normally until 4 PM.
- No Academic Skills Meetings will be available online or in person.
Thursday, November 28, 2024 - ASC CLOSED (Happy Thanksgiving!)
Friday, November 29th, 2024 - ASC CLOSED
We will resume our normal hours on Monday, December 2nd at 11 AM.
